Here you can enjoy a historical walk through the city centre, visit one of its landmarks – the CATHEDRAL situated on Kaptol hill just north of the main square, have a stroll on the busy DOLAC open market, visit BAKINA KUĆA shop, where you can buy some typical Croatian delicacies, drink some great coffee at ELI’S CAFÉ, enjoy ice cream in the “coolest” place in the city – at the MILLENNIUM ice cream parlour.

Istria & Kvarner

This northern Adriatic region offers a great variety of things to do and see. You could start by tasting a local delicacy named TARTUFI (truffles), made with home made pasta at the ZIGANTE restaurant, be sure to visit MOTOVUN – a small medieval town on the hill overlooking the River Mirna valley which is renowned for its summer film festival. What can one say about POREČ and ROVINJ – two small cities on the coast of Istria, and not forget PULA, home to the second biggest Roman amphitheatre outside Italy.

Central Dalmatia

Where to start in this region of Croatia? Well, for sure, you should visit two NATIONAL PARKS – the KRKA waterfalls and the KORNATI archipelago. Both offer great relaxation and, combined with breathtaking nature, are the number 1 “must see”in Dalmatia. Visit SPLIT and DIOCLETIAN PALACE, dating back to the Roman Age, and ZADAR with its unique SEA ORGAN, where the sea and waves make music. Have a boat trip to the island of ZLARIN, where coral processing and manufacturing is a long tradition, and you can also buy a small souvenir.

Dubrovnik & Southern Dalmatia

Known as the gem of Croatian tourism, where many celebrities have their vacations, this is a place where luxury combines with tradition and great history, in one word – DUBROVNIK. While sightseeing in the city and along old city walls will take your breath away, dont forget to visit the surroundings – a pleasant boat ride will take you to the charming ELAFITI Islands rich in culture and natural attractions. The MLJET national park is the only one in the south of Croatia, and an inevitable excursion destination for the lovers of virgin nature.

Islands

Did you know that the Croatian coastline is one of the most indented in the world, and that Croatia has over 718 islands? While it will take more then a year to visit them all, you must be sure not to skip the island of HVAR, known for its great combination of most sunny days in a year, big lavender fields and nautical tourism. Take a boat excursion to BOL (island of Brač) where you must take a swim on the most famous pebbled beach in Croatia called ZLATNI RAT, or to the island of VIS from where transfer by smaller boats is available to take you to ZELENA and MODRA ŠPILJA (Green and Blue Cave) which are a miracle of nature. Try the lobster in JASTOŽERA restaurant. And dont miss the island of KORČULA, a birth place of Marco Polo with rich historical heritage.
